Spring Term 2 2023

World Book Day
To celebrate World Book day the children brought in their favourite book from home with a prop to accompany their chosen book. The children shared their books with each other and took part in a creative Cornish themed story telling challenge.
We were privileged to be joined by author Cate Merrin, who shared her Captain Seasick stories with us. The children also celebrated St Pirans day by enjoying a pasty lunch and a cream team afternoon snack.
The children have made beautiful collage sunflowers to hang on the prayer tree at St Breward Church. These were made to remember others that are suffering in Ukraine, Turkey and Syria. The children wrote messages and prayers on their sunflowers.
Art lessons

The children used clay to create a special Mother's day pot, they painted their pots and were very proud of their achievements. They also re-used a plastic bottle to make an Easter basket.
Paignton Zoo
The whole school visited Paignton Zoo to celebrate 100 years since the zoo opened.
We had a fantastic day visiting many different interesting animals. The children were looking out for any animals that are endangered or at risk of extinction.
