Homework is set weekly and consists of:
  • a list of spellings, either related to the topic or from the National Curriculum
  • maths homework, usually arithmetic using the four operations
  • reading, at least 4 times a week when possible
A list of spellings is sent home every three weeks and the children are asked to practise these with a parent or guardian. At the end of the three weeks the children are tested and the results sent home.
This consists of either matching pairs cards or arithmetic sheets to be stuck in their books. The arithmetic is then to be marked by a parent alongside your child. At the end of term, please return the completed arithmetic books to school for a small prize.
Please continue reading reading as normal with your child.
