Welcome to Seahorses Class.
Our class is a mixed aged class with children in Year 1, 2 and 3. We cover all areas of the National curriculum as well as incorporating active learning sessions both inside and outside of the classroom.
We encourage the children to ask questions about the topics we cover and develop a sense of curiosity about their learning. Many of our lessons are based around our current topics which are carefully planned around the children and their interests.
Our Class Teacher is Miss Simpson and we are lucky enough to have 2 fantastic Teaching Assistants; Mrs Sleep and Mrs Evans. Mrs Prout also works in Seahorses class on a Wednesday afternoon.
What we get up to !
The children in our class enjoy outdoor PSHE sessions called RTime. In pairs they complete problem solving tasks, share emotions and feelings whilst building respectful relationships and good manners.
Every Tuesday afternoon is our PE session which ranges from Dance to Rugby.
Each morning the whole class join in with Active Start sessions. The children join in with a range of activities for 15-20 minutes. They particularly enjoy throwing and catching games, chasing games and dance based activities.
Each term the children go to our local woods for an outdoor leaning day which we all love!!!
They enjoy the freedom to explore and we especially enjoy making dens and playing games.
