The Great Fire of London
This half term we have been learning about the historical significance of the Great Fire of London. The children enjoyed a full topic day, interviewing special guests- Thomas Farriner ( Mrs Richards), Samuel Pepys (Miss Bonser) and King Charles II (Miss Simpson) and burying possessions, passing messages and making salt dough baker items.
We have also made some fantastic 3D Tudor houses and eye catching silhouette pictures. Our outdoor leaning lessons are also based upon the Great Fire of London, making large piles of twigs and sticks, exploring water carrying methods, making daub and burning our 3D Tudor houses.
