Summer Term 1

Ready Steady Sow!
Class trip to the Eden Project
We had a fantastic day at the Eden Project, the children participated in a ready steady sow workshop. The workshop allowed the children to become seed experts! They dissected seeds, used their senses to explore seeds, spotted signs of spring in the spiral garden, learnt about the important things that plants need to grown and planted their own nasturtium seeds.
We also explored the 2 magnificent biomes, we found lots of amazing plants and trees.
What a wonderful way to begin our topic.
Our visit to Kerdroya
Seahorses and Turtles Class visited the Kerdroya site, we explored the labyrinth, completed a Cornish treasure hunt and practiced our sketching skills.
The children were able to find signs of nature and use Cornish words to label their findings.
