Summer Term 2022

This half term is a short one and quite busy, with various activities and, of course, for the Year 6s their KS2 Sats. These will take place in the week begining 9/5/2022. Below is our planning for the half term.
P.C. Pickin came in to talk to the children about his work as a police constable in our local area and the variety of roles that a career within the police offers. He brought in some of the equipment and hats that police officers wear.
Rocket Power.
The class were visited by Dan and Frank from the R.A.F. as part of a STEM project and had an afternoon designing, making and testing rockets.
Middle Eastern cookery.
As part of our topic about the Abbasid Caliphate and Baghdad, we spent a day making and enjoying a Middle Eastern feast consisting of flatbread, dips, lamb koftas, basmati rice with fruit and spices and a semolina cake. Many thanks to Mrs. Whitby for the recipes and overseeing the cooking.
This term the class are being taught to play the ukele by Mrs. Mann from the Cornwall Music Service.
Congratulations to Mikey, Rachel, Mary, Ruby, Annabel, Olivia, Harry, Cacey and Bella for taking part and passing their Bikeability Award this half-term.
